Roofing in Eveleigh spans Victorian terraces, converted railway and industrial warehouses, and the newer developments around the old rail yards. Terrace roofs sit behind parapets and drain through concealed box gutters, while the warehouse and new stock runs to large flat and metal roofs. Across both, flashings, falls and drainage are what decide whether water reaches a downpipe or a ceiling.
We work on terraces, warehouse conversions, commercial buildings and strata throughout Eveleigh, and we plan access before we quote. Narrow streets, permit parking, large spans and occupied buildings all change how a job runs. Our team is licensed, insured and set up for height work on tight urban sites.
Most Eveleigh leaks start away from the stain, in a blocked box gutter, a failed membrane lap or parapet flashing, cracked pointing or a rusted valley. We trace the water path, fix the cause, and test the repair before we leave.
When a slate, iron or membrane roof in Eveleigh is past patching, we replace it with a system matched to the building, from like-for-like slate on a terrace to long-run metal or membrane on a warehouse. We handle removal, upgrade drainage to code, and reinstate parapet and penetration details.
Concealed box gutters and large flat roofs are why Eveleigh buildings need scheduled maintenance, not reactive callouts. A blockage can only spill inward. Our visits clear gutters, sumps and rainheads, check overflows, reseal penetrations and flag membrane or slate wear while it is still a small repair.
Warehouse conversions, fitouts, rooftop plant and rear additions run through Eveleigh roofs, and each junction is a potential leak. We work in with your builder and detail every upstand, flashing and membrane junction to Australian Standards, so new work does not compromise the roof.
Buying, selling or managing an Eveleigh property? Our roof reports cover the box gutters and sumps, parapet flashings, membrane, metal or slate condition, and any failing penetration seals. You get photos, condition ratings and a clear split between urgent and planned works for owners and strata.
Drainage in Eveleigh is mostly concealed, with box gutters, sumps and rainheads inside the envelope, and large warehouse roofs that shed a lot of water fast. We renew soles and sumps in Colorbond, size the system to the catchment, and make sure a working overflow spills outside rather than into the ceiling.
Terrace and warehouse roofing rewards experience over speed. Knowing how a lead apron dresses into a parapet, how a membrane is terminated on a large span, and how a box gutter overflow is set out is the difference between an Eveleigh repair that lasts and one that fails next storm. We diagnose from the roof and the ceiling below.
Roofing in Eveleigh is height work on terraces, large warehouse spans and exposed sites. Every job is planned around access first, with edge protection, anchor points and scaffold where needed, plus the right council approvals. Our crew is working-at-heights certified and fully insured for public liability and workers comp.
Slate, period profiles, commercial membranes and the right flashings are not stock items at a general merchant. For Eveleigh we source matching and commercial-grade materials through trade suppliers and specify to the building, from heritage terrace to large warehouse roof.
Cheap patch repairs cost more on an Eveleigh building, since water behind a parapet or under a warehouse membrane damages interiors and fitouts long before a stain shows. Paying once for a proper repair or correctly sized gutter beats repeat callouts. We tell you honestly when to repair or replace.
Terraces, semis, workers cottages and warehouse conversions, we cover the full range of Eveleigh homes. Slate repairs and re-roofs, metal roofing, box gutter renewal, and the flashing details around chimneys, skylights and party walls, scheduled around narrow streets and permit parking.
Warehouses, studios, offices, creative spaces and mixed-use strata across Eveleigh. We schedule around trading hours, manage access on occupied buildings, and work with the large membrane, metal and concealed drainage systems these roofs use, with the documentation managers and committees need.
A blocked box gutter or failed membrane in an Eveleigh downpour can put water through a ceiling or warehouse fitout in minutes. We repair storm damage, leaks and failed drainage, then book the permanent fix. Where water crosses tenancies, we document what we find so insurance and strata talks stay straightforward.
Terracotta and concrete tile turn up across Eveleigh on Federation homes and rear additions. We repair and repoint ridge and hip capping and replace cracked or slipped tiles matched for profile, sourcing period Marseille tiles on heritage properties rather than a close-enough substitute.
Short-run corrugated iron on terraces and long-run Colorbond on warehouses and conversions are both common in Eveleigh. It is the fixings, flashings and fall that decide how long a metal roof lasts, and we detail them properly for a clean, low-maintenance result.
Flat and low-slope roofs are common in Eveleigh, on warehouse conversions, commercial buildings and rear additions. These need a membrane system with genuine falls and a designed drainage path, not a coating over a slab. We install and repair membrane roofing and detail upstands, penetrations and skylights so the weak points hold.

I have had a fantastic experience with this business from start to finish. They are professional experienced, very fair and reasonable. We needed to replace the roof on our outdoor deck which was slightly tricky. Their advice and suggestions regarding product to use was sage. After a downpour there was a bit of a leak between the main building and the deck roof which they came out to fix which resolved the issue. There have been plenty of downpours since and everything is fine. I would highly recommend this company without hesitation. They are excellent.Posted on Google![]()

Thankyou to TomKat Roofing and particulary Scott who did an excellent job repairing my roof. I had a water stain on the ceiling in one of my rooms, I called TomKat Roofing. They sent out a technician (Tim I think his name was) to have a look at the roof and that was followed by a very clear & comprehensive quote with what work needed to be done. The quote was supported by photos of the roof showing the problem areas. Tim was very polite & knowledgeable. He explained to me what needed to be done as a matter of urgency and what would need to be done for maintenance purpose and he showed me the photos. The price was very reasonable for the work that needed to be done. Scott carried out the repair work. Scott is very pleasant to deal and he knew exactly what he was doing. He worked just about all day to finish the job for me and I was very happy with the results and my roof problems have now been solved. I was very impressed with everyone I dealt with, from the ladies in the office who prepared my quote to Scott who completed the job , they are all very friendly and most of all they know their stuff. I think they're an asset to TomKat. I highly recommend TomKat Roofing and I would definitely use them again.Posted on Google![]()

I contacted the team at TomKat roofing as I noticed a small leak in my daughters room during the recent storms and I was pleasantly greeted over the phone by the admin team who took down all my details and soon after I had the scheduling team call and arrange a suitable time to come out and review my concerns. The team promptly identified what the issue was and fixed it promptly. I can’t thank the team enough and whilst I hope I never need to call them again due to a roof issue, I would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for professional workmanship.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Tomkat Roofing for an efficient, well priced and solid quality roof replacement. My old, droopy and leaking terracotta tile roof is now straight and strong with a reinforced structure, new corrugated colorbond roof, gutters, facias, downpipes and leaf guard. Some of the key positive experiences I had with Tomkat Roofing are: The efficient and friendly office staff always responded quickly and kept me informed of the progress and when the tradesmen would be onsite. At the start of the job, within a single work day, they had a team of roofers and carpenters to get the old tiles off, the roof structure repaired/reinforced and the colorbond sheets with insulation secured so that my home was protected from the weather. Fortunately the weather was clear for a few days, but it was reassuring to know that they were prepared to work incredibly fast in the summer sun to keep my home safe. The site supervisors were always friendly and took the time to explain everything to me and respond to any concerns or questions I had about the job. Being an older build home, I had a few items that needed particular attention and everything was completed to my satisfaction. A word of advice for home owners looking to get a roof replaced with Tomkat Roofing: Raise as many of your objectives and concerns as you can as early as possible. I found the Tomkat team very responsive to my overthinking mind and everything I wanted to get done was outlined in the quote and addressed during the job. Also, they do tidy up and take away all the waste building material during and at the end of the job, which is great. But be prepared each evening to clean up smaller items that take time to find, like random screws or nails that were dropped, if you have children or pets accessing the area around your home in the evenings. It is unreasonable to expect the workers to find every dropped item each day if you also want the job done quickly.
Tomkat Roofing has worked on inner-city Sydney roofs for over twenty years, long enough to know which mystery leak in an Eveleigh terrace or warehouse is actually a flashing failure metres from the stain. We are a licensed, insured team and winners of the 2024 and 2025 Australian Small Business Champion Awards in the roofer category.
Every job starts with a proper inspection and ends with a written scope and fixed pricing. If a repair will get you another ten years, we will say so. If the roof is past it, we will show you why.
Signs like leaks, sagging, missing tiles, or water stains often indicate the need for repair. However, if your roof is over 20 years old or has widespread damage, a full replacement may be more cost-effective.
Yes, we are fully licensed and insured, giving you confidence that all work is carried out to Australian standards and safety regulations. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality roofing services.
The timeline depends on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and the materials used. Most residential roof replacements take between 2 to 5 days. We’ll provide a clear timeline before the work begins.
Absolutely. We stand by the quality of our materials and workmanship. All our roofing work comes with a workmanship guarantee, and we use materials that are backed by manufacturer warranties.
