Roofing in Acacia Gardens is mostly large two-storey estate homes with big roof spans, built in concrete tile from the 1990s and 2000s. This is a compact, established 1990s estate suburb of brick-and-tile family homes between Quakers Hill and Kings Langley. Many of those roofs are now old enough that bedding and pointing are failing across whole streets at once, and most carry solar arrays that add flashing points to keep watertight.
Western Sydney also sits in an active summer storm corridor, so hail and wind damage are a regular part of the work here. We repair, re-roof and maintain estate roofs across Acacia Gardens, with written scope, fixed pricing and work sequenced so a large roof is never left open overnight.
The two most common repairs in Acacia Gardens are hail damage and failed pointing. A summer supercell can crack and chip concrete tiles across a whole roof in minutes, often with no leak until months later. The other is ridge and hip capping where the original sand-cement pointing has cracked out. We replace broken tiles from matched stock and repoint with flexible pointing that moves instead of cracking.
A large Acacia Gardens roof is a significant replacement, so the material choice matters. Concrete tile matches the streetscape on most estates; Colorbond is far lighter, faster over a big span and handles hail better. We handle removal, disposal, sarking upgrade and compliant installation, and detail flashings around solar and penetrations properly.
Big roofs and long gutter runs mean small problems stay hidden a long time. Our Acacia Gardens maintenance visits clear gutters, valleys and downpipes, repoint capping before it lets go, inspect the flashings around solar arrays, and check valley irons for corrosion under the tiles before they perforate.
New builds, granny flats, extensions and alfresco additions are common across Acacia Gardens. We work with your builder from framing through sarking to finish, handle the long spans these homes carry, and detail every junction, skylight and solar penetration to Australian Standards so new work does not start leaking.
After a Acacia Gardens hailstorm, the difference between a successful insurance claim and a rejected one is usually documentation. Our reports record tile-by-tile damage with photographs, assess capping, valleys, flashings and gutters, and state remaining life clearly. The same report works for buyers and sellers.
Roofs across Acacia Gardens shed a lot of water fast in a storm, and undersized or poorly falling gutters are a common legacy of volume-built estates. We replace rusted and sagging gutters, correct falls, upsize downpipes where the catchment demands it, and fit leaf guard suited to what your block actually drops.
Capping repointed without proper rebedding cracks again in a season, and solar mounts without correct flashing leak at every bracket. We get the detailing right so the repair still holds in ten years.
Two-storey estate homes bring height and edge-distance risks, and hail-damaged tile is dangerous underfoot. Every job is set up with edge protection and anchor points. Our crew is certified and fully insured.
Matching a discontinued 1990s concrete tile is the difference between a repair that disappears and one you can see from the street. We source matched tile, flexible pointing and Colorbond through trade supply.
Deferred pointing is the expensive decision: once capping cracks out, a repointing job becomes ceiling and insulation replacement. Undocumented hail becomes uninsurable. We flag what is genuinely urgent.
Estate homes, granny flats and additions across Acacia Gardens. Concrete and terracotta tile repairs, rebedding and repointing, valley replacement, full re-roofs in tile or Colorbond, gutter renewal and leaf protection, plus hail damage assessment and repair. Written scope, fixed pricing, and a large roof never left open overnight.
Business parks, retail centres, schools and strata buildings around Acacia Gardens and the wider Hills. We schedule around trading and teaching hours, manage access and compliance on occupied sites, and work with the long-run metal and membrane systems these buildings use, with staged pricing and documentation for committees and facilities managers.
Hills storms arrive fast and do a lot at once: hail through tiles, sheeting lifted by downdraft wind, branches down. We repair the damage in Acacia Gardens and complete permanent repairs, photographing everything as we go, which matters when a whole street is claiming on the same storm event.
Concrete tile is the default across Acacia Gardens and it ages predictably: pointing cracks first, then bedding fails, then valleys rust under the tiles. We rebed and repoint capping with flexible pointing, replace cracked and hail-damaged tiles from matched stock, and replace valley irons before they perforate.
Colorbond makes sense on many Acacia Gardens roofs: far lighter than tile over a big span, quick to install, and it handles hail better than concrete tile. We install it on homes, extensions and additions, with fixing density set for the exposure and flashings detailed properly at every penetration.
Flat and low-slope roofing appears on Acacia Gardens alfresco areas, extensions and garages. These need genuine falls and a designed drainage path, because a large flat area that ponds will find the one weak lap. We install and repair membrane and low-pitch metal systems, correct falls, and detail upstands and skylights so they hold through a summer storm.

I have had a fantastic experience with this business from start to finish. They are professional experienced, very fair and reasonable. We needed to replace the roof on our outdoor deck which was slightly tricky. Their advice and suggestions regarding product to use was sage. After a downpour there was a bit of a leak between the main building and the deck roof which they came out to fix which resolved the issue. There have been plenty of downpours since and everything is fine. I would highly recommend this company without hesitation. They are excellent.Posted on Google![]()

Thankyou to TomKat Roofing and particulary Scott who did an excellent job repairing my roof. I had a water stain on the ceiling in one of my rooms, I called TomKat Roofing. They sent out a technician (Tim I think his name was) to have a look at the roof and that was followed by a very clear & comprehensive quote with what work needed to be done. The quote was supported by photos of the roof showing the problem areas. Tim was very polite & knowledgeable. He explained to me what needed to be done as a matter of urgency and what would need to be done for maintenance purpose and he showed me the photos. The price was very reasonable for the work that needed to be done. Scott carried out the repair work. Scott is very pleasant to deal and he knew exactly what he was doing. He worked just about all day to finish the job for me and I was very happy with the results and my roof problems have now been solved. I was very impressed with everyone I dealt with, from the ladies in the office who prepared my quote to Scott who completed the job , they are all very friendly and most of all they know their stuff. I think they're an asset to TomKat. I highly recommend TomKat Roofing and I would definitely use them again.Posted on Google![]()

I contacted the team at TomKat roofing as I noticed a small leak in my daughters room during the recent storms and I was pleasantly greeted over the phone by the admin team who took down all my details and soon after I had the scheduling team call and arrange a suitable time to come out and review my concerns. The team promptly identified what the issue was and fixed it promptly. I can’t thank the team enough and whilst I hope I never need to call them again due to a roof issue, I would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for professional workmanship.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Tomkat Roofing for an efficient, well priced and solid quality roof replacement. My old, droopy and leaking terracotta tile roof is now straight and strong with a reinforced structure, new corrugated colorbond roof, gutters, facias, downpipes and leaf guard. Some of the key positive experiences I had with Tomkat Roofing are: The efficient and friendly office staff always responded quickly and kept me informed of the progress and when the tradesmen would be onsite. At the start of the job, within a single work day, they had a team of roofers and carpenters to get the old tiles off, the roof structure repaired/reinforced and the colorbond sheets with insulation secured so that my home was protected from the weather. Fortunately the weather was clear for a few days, but it was reassuring to know that they were prepared to work incredibly fast in the summer sun to keep my home safe. The site supervisors were always friendly and took the time to explain everything to me and respond to any concerns or questions I had about the job. Being an older build home, I had a few items that needed particular attention and everything was completed to my satisfaction. A word of advice for home owners looking to get a roof replaced with Tomkat Roofing: Raise as many of your objectives and concerns as you can as early as possible. I found the Tomkat team very responsive to my overthinking mind and everything I wanted to get done was outlined in the quote and addressed during the job. Also, they do tidy up and take away all the waste building material during and at the end of the job, which is great. But be prepared each evening to clean up smaller items that take time to find, like random screws or nails that were dropped, if you have children or pets accessing the area around your home in the evenings. It is unreasonable to expect the workers to find every dropped item each day if you also want the job done quickly.
Tomkat Roofing has spent over twenty years on Sydney roofs, from tight inner-city terraces to the large-span tile and Colorbond roofs across the Hills, including Acacia Gardens. We are a licensed, insured team and winners of the 2024 and 2025 Australian Small Business Champion Awards in the roofer category.
Every job starts with a proper inspection and photographs, and ends with a written scope and fixed pricing. After a hailstorm that documentation is often worth more than the repair itself.
Signs like leaks, sagging, missing tiles, or water stains often indicate the need for repair. However, if your roof is over 20 years old or has widespread damage, a full replacement may be more cost-effective.
Yes, we are fully licensed and insured, giving you confidence that all work is carried out to Australian standards and safety regulations. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality roofing services.
The timeline depends on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and the materials used. Most residential roof replacements take between 2 to 5 days. We’ll provide a clear timeline before the work begins.
Absolutely. We stand by the quality of our materials and workmanship. All our roofing work comes with a workmanship guarantee, and we use materials that are backed by manufacturer warranties.
