Apron Flashing 

Roof apron flashing is a type of flashing used in roofing to direct water away from areas where different surfaces meet, such as where the roof meets a wall or chimney. It’s typically installed along the lower edge of a vertical surface, like a wall, and extends onto the roof.  


Back Tray Flashing 

Roof back tray flashing is a type of flashing used in metal roofing systems to manage and direct water flow near penetrations such a vent pipes, skylights or chimneys. The back tray flashing is basically a metal flashing which covers a section of roof sheeting from the top ridge capping down to the penetration. If a penetration doesn’t contain a back tray flashing, water can eventually buildup behind the penetration and eventually flood the lap of the sheet if it is not able to drain properly to the gutter. 


Barge Capping 

Roof barge capping is a type of roofing component used to cover and protect the barge boards, which are the horizontal boards or trims that run along the edge of a gabled roof. It is designed to cover and seal the edge where the roof meets the barge boards, providing a finished appearance and ensuring weatherproofing. 


Battens 

Roof battens are long narrow strips of timber or metal that run parallel to the roof's slope across the rafters or trusses. The battens provide a framework to which roofing materials, such as tiles or metal sheets, are attached. They support and secure the roofing material and help distribute the load of the roofing materials evenly across the roof structure. 


Bird Spikes 

Bird spikes are devices used to deter birds from landing or nesting on roof surfaces or gutters. They protect buildings and structures from the potential damage that birds can cause. 


Box Gutter 

A roof box gutter is a type of gutter system used in roofing to collect and channel rainwater from the roof. Box gutters are usually installed along the lower edges of flat or low-pitched roofs, or in areas where the roof changes direction, such as at intersections or parapet walls. A box gutter is typically rectangular or square in cross-section, resembling a "box" rather than the traditional round or half-round shape of other gutters. 


Broken Tiles 

Broken roof tiles refer to roofing tiles that have been damaged or fractured, impacting their effectiveness in protecting the roof structure. Broken roof tiles can include cracks, chips, or complete breaks; all whick can lead to water ingress if not replaced. 


Ceiling Batts 

Roof ceiling batts are insulation materials installed in the ceiling space of a building to improve thermal performance and energy efficiency. Ceiling batts are designed to insulate the roof space, helping to regulate indoor temperatures by reducing heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer. 


Compression Flashing 

Compression flashing typically consists of a compressible material that forms a seal between the roof surface and the wall or a penetration. It often includes a base that is attached to the roof and a top component that compresses against the penetration to form a tight seal to help protect the roofing system and the underlying structure from water damage. 


Concrete Tiles 

Roof concrete tiles are a type of roofing material made from a mixture of cement, sand, and water. They are a popular choice for residential and commercial roofing due to their durability, aesthetic options, and weather resistance. 


Custom Orb Roof Sheets 

Custom Orb roof sheets are a specific type of corrugated metal roofing product widely used in both residential and commercial buildings. The profile features rounded, evenly spaced deep corrugations that provide a sleek, modern look while also offering functional benefits like improved water runoff and structural integrity. Custom Orb roof sheets are suitable for roof pitches 5 degrees and above. 


Dektite 

Dektite is a roof flashing designed to seal around roof penetrations, such as stink pipes and vents. It is used to ensure a watertight seal and protect the roofing system from leaks. For metal roofs, Dekties are required in conjunctions with back tray flashings. 


Downpipe 

A roof downpipe is a vertical pipe that is part of a roof drainage system, designed to channel rainwater from the roof to the ground or a drainage system. Modern materials used for downpipes, such as PVC and metal, are designed to withstand environmental conditions and require minimal maintenance. 


Dutch Gable 

The Dutch gable includes a triangular gable end that is set on top of a hip roof. This combination creates a unique and aesthetically appealing profile that features both the triangular shape of a gable and the sloped, multi-faceted nature of a hip roof. 


Eave 

An eave is the edge of a roof that extends beyond the exterior wall of a building. It plays a crucial role in directing water away from the structure and protecting the building's walls and foundation. 


Emer-Clad 

Emer-Clad is a waterproofing membrane product used in roofing applications. It provides a protective layer that shields buildings from the elements and prevents water ingress. 


Fascia 

The fascia is the vertical board or trim that runs along the edge of the roof, where the eave and the roof meet. It provides a finished look and helps to support the lower edge of the roof and the gutters. 

 

Fascia Cover 

A fascia cover is a protective and decorative component installed over the fascia board of a roof. The fascia board is a horizontal board that runs along the edge of the roof, supporting the lower edge of the roof and the gutters. The fascia cover serves both functional and aesthetic purposes. 


Fast Flash 

Fast Flash, also known as Wakaflex, is a flexible, self-adhesive roof flashing product used to create watertight seals around roof penetrations and joints. It is designed to seal gaps around roof penetrations such as vents, chimneys, skylights, and pipe penetrations. Fast Flash prevents water infiltration, which can lead to leaks and water damage. 


Fibreglass 

A fiberglass roof panel, also known as a skylight roofing panel, is a thin, lightweight, translucent panel that is installed on a roof primarily to allow more light into the structure. These are often used in industrial or commercial settings. 


Gable 

The defining feature of a gable is its triangular shape, formed by the two sloping sides of the roof meeting at a central ridge and extending down to the eaves. This shape allows for effective water runoff and adds architectural interest to the building. 


Gutter 

A roof gutter is a crucial component of a building's rainwater drainage system. Gutters are installed along the edge of the building to collect and direct rainwater runoff from the roof away from the building's foundation and exterior walls.  


Gutter Clean 

Gutter cleaning refers to the process of removing debris, leaves and other obstructions from the gutters and nozzles of a building's rainwater drainage system. This maintenance task is crucial for ensuring the proper function of the gutter system and preventing potential water damage. 


Gutter Re-Fall 

Gutter refall refers to the process of adjusting or correcting the slope or pitch of a gutter system to ensure proper water drainage. Over time, gutters can become misaligned due to settling, shifting, or wear, which can lead to ineffective drainage and potential water damage. 


Gutter Replacement 

Gutter replacement is the process of removing old or damaged gutters and installing new ones. This is typically done to restore or improve the functionality of a building's rainwater drainage system, prevent water damage, and maintain the structural integrity of the building. 


Insulation 

Anticon roof insulation is installed to industrial, commercial, and residential dwellings with metal roofs applications to enhance thermal performance and energy efficiency. It typically consists of a layer of reflective foil combined with a layer of insulating material. 


Kliplok Roof Sheets 

Kliplok sheets typically feature interlocking panels and concealed fixings that create a distinctive, modern appearance.  Kliplok roof sheets are suitable for roof pitches 1 degree and above. 


Leaf Screen 

Leaf screen is a type of protective mesh or barrier installed in gutter systems to prevent leaves, twigs, and other debris from entering and blocking the gutters. This helps maintain the efficiency of the rainwater drainage system and reduces the need for frequent gutter cleaning. 


Mould and Lichen 

Mould and lichen build-up refers to the accumulation of biological growths on roof surfaces. These growths can affect the appearance, integrity, and longevity of building materials. 


Metal Rescrew 

Metal roof rescrew refers to the process of removing and replacing the fasteners or screws that secure metal roofing panels to the underlying structure. This procedure is often performed to address issues related to leaks, loose panels, or overall deterioration of the roof. 


Parapet Capping 

Parapet capping refers to the protective cap installed on the top of a parapet wall. A parapet is vertical extension of a wall at the edge of a roof or balcony, designed to provide safety, support, and decorative elements. 


Polycarbonate Sheets 

Polycarbonate sheets are flat panels made from polycarbonate, a type of thermoplastic polymer. They are used in various applications for their transparency, durability, and versatility. 


Rebedding 

Ridge cap rebedding is a specific roofing maintenance process aimed at securing the ridge caps on a tiled roof. Ridge caps are the tiles or coverings that run along the ridge (the highest point) of the roof, where two slopes meet. These caps play a crucial role in protecting the roof from water infiltration and providing a finished appearance. Over time, the bedding mortar that holds these caps in place can deteriorate, causing the ridge caps to become loose or shift. Ridge cap rebedding involves removing and replacing this bedding mortar to restore the integrity of the roof. 


Repointing 

Ridge cap pointing is a roofing maintenance technique used to secure and seal the ridge caps of a tiled roof. Ridge caps are the tiles or coverings that run along the ridge (the highest point) of the roof, where two slopes meet. Pointing involves applying a finishing layer of mortar or sealant to the edges of the ridge caps to ensure they are firmly in place and to provide a watertight seal. 


Ridge Cappings 

Ridge capping refers to the process of installing tiles or components that cover the ridge of a pitched roof. The ridge is the horizontal line where two roof slopes meet at the top, and the ridge capping serves to protect this vulnerable area from weather elements while also providing a finished appearance. 


Roof Sheets

Roof sheets refers to a broad category of roofing materials used to cover and protect the roof of a building. Roof sheets are typically made from materials such as metal, polycarbonate, or fiberglass, and they are designed to provide a durable, weather-resistant covering that shields the building from environmental elements such as rain, wind, and sunlight. 


Sarking 

Roof sarking is a type of underlay material installed beneath tiles and above the roof trusses or battens. Its primary function is to provide an additional layer of protection against weather elements and improve the overall performance of the roofing system. 


Skylight 

A window or panel set into the roof or ceiling of a building to admit natural light. Skylights can be fixed or operable and are designed to provide illumination to the interior spaces. 


Spreader Pipe 

A spreader pipe's primary function is to distribute water evenly across a roof's surface and manage water runoff effectively, typically directing it towards the appropriate drainage system. 


Terracotta Tiles 

Roof terracotta tiles are a type of roofing material made from clay that has been fired at high temperatures to create durable, weather-resistant tiles. They are a popular choice for residential and commercial roofing due to their durability, aesthetic options, and weather resistance. 


Trimdek Roof Sheets 

Trimdek roof sheets are a specific type of metal roofing profile which includes wide, flat panels between the ribs, giving it a streamlined and contemporary look. Trimdek roof sheets are suitable for roof pitches 2 degrees and above. 


Transition Flashing 

Transition flashing is a type of roofing accessory used to bridge and seal the junction between different roofing materials or roof components. It ensures a watertight connection at these critical points, preventing water infiltration and potential damage to the roof structure. 


Valleys 

A gutter installed where two sloping roof sections meet. It is designed to collect and channel rainwater from these roof planes to a downpipe or drainage system. 


Valley Clips 

Roof valley clips are specialized components used to secure and stabilize the roof valley area where two roof planes intersect. These clips are crucial for ensuring that the roof covering remains properly aligned and that the valley remains structurally sound and effective at channeling water. 


Verge Tiles 

Verge tiles are specialized roofing tiles used at the edge of a pitched roof where it meets the gable or wall. They are designed to cover the verge, or edge, of the roof and provide a finished appearance while also serving functional purposes such as weatherproofing and securing the edge of the roof. 


Weep Holes 

Small holes drilled in the top ridge that facilitate the drainage of moisture or trapped water from underneath the roof. They help to ensure that water does not accumulate, which could otherwise lead to leaks, deterioration, or other structural issues. 


Whirly Bird 

A whirlybird is a type of mechanical roof ventilator designed to improve airflow and ventilation in a building's roof space. It helps to expel hot air, moisture, and stale air from the attic or roof cavity, thereby contributing to better indoor air quality and reducing cooling costs.
