Industrial Relations Policy //

Tomkat Roofing is dedicated to good management of industrial relations on all our projects.

The company's attitude towards successful industrial relations has always been based on developing employee relationships with mutual respect. Each site supervisor is charged with the responsibility of ensuring that all Award conditions and Occupational Health & Safety requirements are met on site.

Non-compliance or deviances from these conditions are often the main catalyst for industrial disputes. The company prefers that any dispute that arises is first attempted to be solved at the workplace level between the Site Supervisor and the Site delegate. Failing that, the Senior Executive is called in who is responsible for the overall company industrial relations policy and management.

The Company also has a policy of ensuring that all sub-contractors comply with awards and safety conditions. A check list and evidence of compliance is also required from each site contractor before any commencement on site.
